Fr. Dennis McKillip Visits Riverside, California

The Rev. Fr. Deennis Mickillip, a retired Pastor of the Immaculate Parish of Concepcion, Romblon made a visit to Riverisde in 1997 after visiting his relatives in the East. Fr. McKillip was the Pastor of this Parish for more than 30 years and was instrumental in the many improvements of the Church and the community. He was one who help establish the Sibale Academy which is now considered as a private institution. He stayed at the Divine Word Seminary and also with Rev. Fr. Dennis Flynn at the St. Joseph the Worker in Loma Linda, California. Fr. Dennis Flynn was also assigned to Sibale in 1960 and still speak the dialect. Fr. Flynn is active in assisting the Filipinos in the San Bernardino and Riverside area in their spiritual needs. Currently he is the Chaplain at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, California. Fr. McKillip is used to walk to the six barrios in the island during his active years in the church. Fr. McKillip, who chose to become a naturalized Filipino citizen now stays at the Catholic Trades Retirement Home in Manila, Philippines. He said he goes to elderly homes and still celebrate masses.
