Message
From The Fletcher Family:
Year 2002 is now gone and yet it will be forever part of our memories. Thank You Lord for all the blessings you have given us for the past year.
The Fletcher Family faced a variety of challenges and triumphs during the year.
Suann Graduated from High School and received an award as the Top Student in Discrete Mathematics. Suann's Year 12 life was so
hectic and certainly full of wonderful memories not just for her but for the whole family. Suann attended her Year 12 Ball and had a
Great time. She went to the County Week Sports Camp, she went to the Leavers Celebration, she attended the Soccer's leavers
celebration, she played soccer and represented both her school and the Australind district. Suann also played netball and supported
her friends in Basketball and Volleyball. Suann took the TEE (Tertiary Entrance Examination) and got good results. Then a day after
graduation Suann flew over to the Philippines for a break and to visit the family. Suann attended the Sibale Fiesta and enjoyed the
celebration specially when she danced with someone who is a son of my classmate in High school. I wonder who could it be?
Suann attended Mama and Mama Goniengs 70th Birthday Party Celebration in December. She celebrated Christmas and New Year in
Iloilo with her cousins AP and Gelo and her tita Amy and tito Nonoy. She will be in the Philippines for as long as she still enjoys her
stay. Suann plans to go to Tertiary studies the following year well, unless she gets swept off her feet by a hunk and decides to have
a family instead. I just have to be prepared for the inevitable so it won't break my heart so much.
Hidee started her year with a trip visit to Tasmania to see her Aunty and cousins. Then she came back all fired up with enthusiasm to
get a job. She started with a voluntary job, then a kitchen hand for a couple of months and now is happy working with our local
supermarket as a Check Out Chick (Cashier). Hidee is very happy with her part-time job. We faced lots of challenges with Hidee
but we did get over them with flying colours and I am so proud of how she has come out. Hidee is a much content and happy
person and a responsible teenager as well. I am so proud how she is shaping and how she continues to strive for the better. She will
still continue her high school studies and will enrol in Year 11 this 2003. She plans to go to the Philippines for a couple of months
when my brother Bonbon gets married sometime this year and catch up with Suann at the same time.
Hayden had a challenging year 2. He has progressed in his reading and writing. He started to enjoy going to school and tried hard
to be enthusiastic in the mornings. Hayden is developing into a very kind and generous person. He absolutely knows how to
become a Great Big Brother to Krystal. He looks after her so well specially when we go out visiting or shopping.
Krystal is growing to be a very artistic child. She has managed to do lots of Graffiti art work around the house. There are a variety
of styles used. There's the permanent felt pen drawings on the walls, the pencil marks on the window sills, the circular horizontal and
vertical droppings of condensed milk on the floor, the blobs of soy sauce and tomato sauce from the table down the chairs and
finally on the floor, the blobs of squashed biscuits and chips that seem to be placed just where you walk and the sticky lollies tucked
away under the sofa cushions. I am sure that there are more things she will discover to do in year 2003 when she starts
Kindergarten. Krystal is one kid I wish I have as much energy.
Dave have been so hectic with work. The poor man have to work twice as hard as he has six mouths to feed. Two teenagers, two
young kids and an expensive wife are not easy to keep. He really have not changed much. He still enjoys fishing and crabbing and
drinking with friends whenever time allows it. He quietly does a lot of voluntary work for friends which he enjoys immensely. He
really is a very good person and I am so thankful to have been blessed with him.
My life have been hectic as well. In between taxi driving the kids in their appointments, house keeping, bookkeeping social life and
voluntary work, well not much left time to do anything. I am still loving my life and absolutely enjoying every moment. Life is
wonderful. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends here at home and overseas. I am surrounded by wonderful
people wherever I go. I cannot ask for any thing more well, except I suppose that I win first division in the lottery. That would give
me the resources to finance all my ambitions of doing good deeds to the less fortunate. Well, Year 2002 is now gone and we are
faced with a brand new challenging Year. Maybe 2003 will give me that Lottery Winning I have been hoping for!!!
